Drips

Drips, Archival Pigment Prints, 42" x 56"

Drips is a series of still-lives made from a mix of insignificant household synthetic items and organic materials.  The imagery overlaps between product photography with its sleek and clinical disposition and challenges the history of the nature morte with its display of abundance and decay.

My decisions for Drips are based off my own physical experience of being pregnant, giving birth and post-partum functionality of my body. Arrangements intentionally are set up to display my own awkward perceptions and intangible occurrences of reproduction, while color begins to reference our culture coded gender stereotyping.
